Zyvago - The origin story

Why Zyvago & why tourism?
There are some journies that begin with a passport stamp. Mine began with a train window.
Growing up in a Bengali household, travel was never treated as luxury — it was education. Every year, my parents packed bags not just to “visit” places, but to experience them. From the misty mornings of Darjeeling to the spiritual calm of Puri, from the valleys of Kashmir to the bustling streets of Mumbai, India slowly became more than a country to me — it became a collection of stories, rituals, food, people, and emotions stitched together through travel.
Years later, life took a more structured turn. Academics in B.Tech with MBA and six years of corporate experience at Amazon India as a Program Manager taught me scale, systems, execution, and problem-solving. Yet somewhere between meetings, spreadsheets, and corporate deadlines, the traveller in me remained restless.
From 2016 onwards, my career and personal life took me across India again — crossing between Hyderabad, Pune, Chennai, Coimbatore, Ooty, Goa and beyond. Being Bengali and marrying into a Telugu family added another beautiful layer — of different languages, festivals, food habits, beliefs, and traditions. I realised that India cannot be understood through checklists and tourist itineraries alone. It must be felt! That thought became the foundation of Zyvago.
Zyvago was created for travellers who want more than photographs. It is for those who wish to hear untold local stories, understand heritage beyond monuments, experience culture beyond performances and travel with curiosity instead of haste.
This is not just a travel platform.
It is a life-time experience of exploring India — deeply, meaningfully with one story at a time.
